You might have seen some things lately…

… about Michael Cera claiming to develop CeraVe.

Maybe it’s because he’s got baby-soft skin, and we share a name. Maybe it’s because he signed some CeraVe bottles and went on interviews saying things like “you put two and two together...” Or maybe it's part of our latest campaign.
Who’s to say, really?

Whatever the reason, it’s not true. The ‘Cera’ in our name refers to the 3 essential ceramides. So, although we’re huge Michael fans, he didn’t develop CeraVe. Dermatologists did.

And in the skincare world, Dermatologists are the real celebrities.

Developed with Dermatologists from the Beginning

Since our inception, Dermatologists have been integral to the CeraVe story. Our journey began with a vision to create a new standard in skincare, guided by the expertise of leading skin experts. Dermatologists' insights into skin and their understanding of skin concerns like eczema-prone skin, blemishes, and dry skin have been vital in shaping our portfolio.

Our pledge to work with Dermatologists isn’t just part of our history; it's a promise we renew with every product we create.
